Third Annual Free Skate Day

Manhattan, Kansas -- The Manhattan Parks and Recreation Department and the city's two Rotary Clubs, the Manhattan Rotary noon club and the Manhattan Konza Rotary morning club, have partnered for the third year running for a FREE SKATE DAY for area kids. City Parks & Rec employees and Rotary volunteers will host the free skate day on Monday, January 16, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Jon and Ruth Ann Wefald Pavilion and GTM Family Center Ice Rink in City Park.

 

Rotary volunteers donate funds yearly to buy new skates for use at the rink and co-host the event, checking out skates and serving free hot chocolate for skaters and family members.
