June 2021 - In a collaborative club project with Junction City Rotary, our club painted a United States map at Ogden Elementary School on June 5. This was the second map project at the school by Junction City Rotary Club.
At the request of retiring Principal Jim Armendariz, the clubs teamed up to paint the 20’ by 30’ multicolored map on the playground. The map will help students gain a better understanding of our country’s geography and interactively engage in educational games with a CD that accompanies the map.
DeAnn Sullivan of the Rotary Club of West Wichita provided the template, supplies and detailed instructions for the project. Special thanks to Junction City member Linda Couch for organizing the event.
